Bismarck, Missouri, population
1500, is situated in St. Francois County
and located in a valley at the headwaters of the St. Francois
River. Incorporated in 1868, the city grew and prospered as
the mining and railroad industries became established. Today,
the town is the home for residents who make their livelihood
via light industrial occupations, small business, education
and agriculture. There are still residents who work in mining
and railroad related industries.
Bismarck Conservation area offers outstanding
fishing and hunting, making this community a wonderful recreational
place to live. The Bismarck R-V School  District
is fully accredited and serves Iron Mountain students as well
as Bismarck youth. Students receive a quality education while
enjoying the laid back atmosphere of a small rural school.
Bismarck residents still celebrate the 4th of July at their
annual Freedom Festival and a community Christmas tree lighting
ceremony is held the first week of December. This small rural
community is a great place to raise your family.

offices that are found primarily in four areas of the City:
Maple Valley Center, Highway 67, Karsch Boulevard, and Downtown
Farmington.

2006 Wiggle & Giggle Fishing Derby
Signaling the arrival of spring is our annual Wiggle &
Giggle Fishing Derby for kids. This event unites Farmington's
young and old at Hager Lake for a family outdoor event.
